is a humorous installation about winning and losing. Bremen's failed attempt to become a port metropolis, the tough competition in the trade, the brilliant promises that await the winner. And by the way a refreshing bath to cool off.
For the Zucker Club and the ZZZ - Zwischenzeitzentrale in Bremen, a practical sculpture was created for a temporary-use-project at Lankenauer Höft. This is located in the Neustädter harbors in Bremen, a rarely used port basin. After the old tenant had given up his restaurant - to make room for a new investor project, that never came to fruition - the place was now empty. For one summer the Zucker Club (Sugar Club) is filling the place with new live. With workshops, café and parties. Not everybody likes this temporary use - many people in the district wish their old restaurant was still there. The resulting dispute and also the failed port, gave inspiration for "The Winner Takes It All" as a comment on the sometimes questionable competitive spirit in the Western culture.
